Age of Arthur Campaign Journal

Postby steharan » Wed Jul 18, 2012 12:41 pm

I'm running an Age of Arthur Campaign at the Pennine Raiders club in Halifax, UK and have put a (semi) humorous Journal on my blog (see sig) for anyone thats interested.

We've thrown in a few interesting ideas into the campaign pack. Not sure how they're going to pan out (weird skirmish scenarios and use of Druids with "mysteries").

I'd appreciate comments/ideas.

Very entertaining read!! Great to see Age of Arthur alive and well!!
I'll shortly be posting deatils of a WAB one-dayer Age of Arthur event at Peterborough for late Autumn, so if any of you fancy the (long) trip over, watch the forum (and my blog) for details.

Nice to see some of my pics on your blog too, by the way

Well if you ever see some of my painting you'll realise why I steal...erm I mean borrow others nicely painted armies  . Although I could take pics of Geraints Twilight of Britannia which I believe you may have come across :D.

As we're trying to boost interest in WAB and ancients in general any news of Tournies and events is always welcome. We're only up in Halifax, West Yorks and in a club of 30ish we've now got 6 WAB players regularly playing. We're exploring both Saga and CoE and Geraint is organising our first one day tournament.

So all's good.

PS: I'll aim to get some pics of our various armies once we've managed to paint some of the damn things (we're nearly all WFB refugees!)

If only I'd painted most of it, instead of paying someone else...

I have indeed seen (and indeed been allied with) Geraint's rather spiffing Romano-Brit army!! BTW, I'm more than happy for you to borrow pics from my blog...carry on! :D

The Peterborough event details are now up on my blog and Fleetfoot Mike has posted them in the events section on this forum too.
