Hello. :D
I'm happy to present my Web site to you (Du plomb sur la plaine / lead on the plain). You will find there articles and pictures of armies and scenery relating to WAB. The texts are in French but a translation in English is present at the screen:
http://figurines25et28mm.blog4ever.com/blog/index-67687.html
Some of the pictures are gallic, biblical syrian, and so on...

Or how about mine? Mainly 28s at http://mainly28s.com, where I have reviews and size comparison tools of 28mm figures, terrain rules and other goodies. The WAB content is fairly small (reviews of some of the various books so far), but the figure content should make up for that!

Hi

Thought I'd mention my website, ALBAtwo - http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/albatwo2

Updated monthly, and has a growing WAB content mainly El Cid and VTI related.

Comments and critisisms welcome (other than my speed of painting :) ).

Nice informative blog Don 8) .

Makes me wish that we in the UK would take care of our battlefields half as well as you chaps in the USA.

Darrell,

Well... the secret is to get an early jump on battlefield preservation. If you don't catch it early all is lost. Many of the battlefields of the Civil War are already gone. A few are in good shape. I'm sure you have the same thing over there but many people don't give a rat's ass for history. They'd rather bulldoze a battlefield to put up a few more houses or another shopping mall. Sad but true. It still happens here all the time.

Thanks for the kind comments on the blog. I am enjoying post stuff right now. The Civil War is in my blood ever since I was about...7 years old. That would be about 18,000 years ago. Getting ready for the 150th anniversary of the War and my game is getting me juiced! Normally I am juiced about it but now more so. As the Blues Brothers said, "I'm on a mission from God."

The UK is very bad in terms of legislation in keeping these places 'safe'. THe recent work on the actual site of bosworth had to be ketp secret in the event of folk plundering the battlefield! Sadly very ironic....

We're all from a mission from god.... the god of wargaming of course  .

All the best mate,
