Andy,

fanastic looking game.
Having played in a couple of massive Biblical games at the WHW events, I think its the way to use the Chariot wars supplement.

So how chariots finally made onto the table?

cheers

Lots!

The second game (Hittites vs Egyptians) was 6000 points a side.

The Hittites I brought had some 21 chariots but I think Warren's army had some 23. Facing them were the Egyptian chariots which on one flank seemed to outnumber us!

A good fun time for all.

Here's a few of the ones I took:

Trojans discover that the Hittites are still hard post errata...

The lord of Assur versus the Israelites.

The sad end to the Trojan General, caught fleeing by hittite spear! Note the elephant tusks on the Hittite's base, thse guys have beaten elephants and Trojan Generals...

Now that's a battle line! 6000 points of Egyptians versus 6000 points of Hittites.

The final hittite victory as they break through the Egyptian centre... at least that's what our monuments say...

Liars, slander, kill their stonemasons! - let the truth be known that His Majesty, Ramesses personally led the attacks and forced the dark lords back on the Orontes, where they abandoned their chariots and fled as fast as crocodiles swimming!

That's not what we say... while the battle was most likely a draw (going by the records of both peoples), modern revisionists have dismissed the Egyptian monuments as mere ancient spin doctoring. Thus the Hittites won, so there!

I love it! 8) Can't get enough pictures of Chariot Wars games. Now I'm even more inspired to play my Mycenaeans against my buddy's NKE army. I have to put the bug in his ear. v/r, Dean

Impressive game. 6000 points looks nothing like a skirmish game, I'd say. Nice pictures, thanks!

Wow! 8)

Those games look truly remarkable. I must say that whilst the Biblical era is not my bag, and probably never will be, those games are certainly very inspiring. I particularly like the 6k per side mega game. Reminds me of the mega battles of WFB we used to play back in the mid 90's ... except that all of your figures are very nicely painted.

Well done, look forward to seeing more such epic battles.

Cheers

Matt

Ah it was indeed, it was. Would have been even better if us Hittites hadn't los.. I mean drawn the last game!

Guy

* Ah if Warren had used his chariot runner screen properly... we'd be looking at Hittite supreme victory...<sigh!>

Great pictures - any chance you can (both) pop them onto a CD for WHW end Oct?

Thanks to Warren and Andy for organising. Shame that a few people had to drop out at the last minute but 'twas a great day anyway.

I shall remember the look on Guy's face when the edge of the world suddenly got a little bit wider.

Andy/Warren,

Looks like a really great event. I love the pics; lots of lovely painted toys and I was very impressed with the terrain boards too. Having good scenery really sets off an event.

Wish I had a Biblical army and I wish I had been there. Maybe one day soon :) .

Cheers,

Darrell.
