Well the Ox Carts and some crew are Newline. Rest are Foundry, Castaway Arts, and Miniature Design Studio. Dogs are from LOR range and 2 civilians from Curteys. That said they blend in well together (for my eyes anyway). The Ox carts are 3 for £18 which is very good.

Very nice. Gives me a few ideas for when I get round to mine.

The list I have seen make the carts H chariots, which does not feel right. But the way you have depicted them as baggage does.

I bought mine at a show were Newline had a deal - £16 for 3 carts, 4 chariots or 24 figures.

From what I can gather they where used more as a Wagon Lager than Heavy Chariots.

The other option is that they used similarly to the Elamites and Mounted Assyrian Infantry, in which they where missile platforms and troop transportation.

Heavy ox drawn chariots! Almost as mad as Elephant Chariots (ask Pompey!).

That would be a good idea, although a slow one. Isn't there ox carts in Alexander? One for Nigel perhaps, are the Egyptian reliefs of carts showing a battle or the Egyptians raiding the Sea People baggage train?

Those are really nice! Full of character, and I love the civilians on the bases. And the doggy.

Even better value for Newline at present with their summer sale! £15 each battlepack, or 3 battle packs for £40! I have ordered a "small" Sumerian Army and topped up my Egyptians and Trojans :) It would be rude not to take advantage of such a generous offer!

Yes I have seen it. Top up of Sumerians and finish of Sea People.

Andy there is no such thing as a small Sumerian army.

Yes I know my friend - I am starting at 4000ap but will make it a full army later :) - Now to find that thread on Sumerian Chariots and recommend Changes to increase S, T & #A, Increase MV, remove Giddy rule.... OK only kidding.

I will therefore have Sumerian Army for next year now to persuade wife to let me go to event!

BTW is there a typo on the LA option for Sumerian Spearmen - as 2pts for LA its same as LSh - but LSh give 5 up whereas LA gives 6 up save... a tad unfair for same points...

Andy, this has been discussed at LENGTH on the errata and Sumerian Chariot thread.

I'm going to increase the large shield to 3pts for the GT
Sumerian Chariots, I think we agreed on T4 W2 A2 3+ save to the front, 50 points?
(oh no here we go again!)

My only change to the unofficial 'Sea Peoples' list was to suggest that the 'carts' use the War Wagon rules from AoC?
Of course with less crew and no xbows
Also it means no 'new' rules need to be written

I'd love to see these models at the GT?
you know it makes sense

Tim,

Sorry - I must have missed the reference to 3pts on LSh (oops did not need to order so many figures !) - and at 50Pts a chariot then my army just increased in size considerably - as well as effectiveness - I knew I should have ordered more than 20 chariots!

Now back to the task of persuading the boss to let me go :)

You could do much worse than having a look at Miniature Design Studios
