Login needed always

Hi.

After the change to the new style I need to login each time, even when I activate the checkbox login automatically. Am I the only one? I didn't change any browser setting (IE8).

I've had no problems with either IE8 on XP or Firefox on Windows 7.

I encounter Leondegrande´s problem as well. No matter how often I check the "remember my login" box I always have to log in when revisiting the site. It is no cookie problem because sites like TMP or Yahoo do remember my passwords and logins.

Well it works for me and it appears most other people so I suspect we have a Software/setting issue on those that cannot.

Recommend the following:

1. Try logging in with a different browser if that works then clearly issue with your normal browser
2. On your normal browser go into settings and manually delete each and every coookie you find for wabforum and clear the cache.
3. Exist and restart browser - and try logging in etc.

It´s still odd. It was never a problem with the old site and still isn´t with any other site. And I haven´t changed any settings nor changed my browser.

Deleting cookies does not work, btw.

If anyone who is having a problem with logging in all the time please download and try with a different browser please and let me know if the problem persists - thanks.

I am unable to recreate the problme and I have tried on three two separate computers and an iPAD - but all works fine.

If you are having problems - please let me know the following:

1. OS
2. Browser type and version

I use XP and broswers IE8, firefox and chrome. I still have to login each time on both my works computer and home computer

I got a little excited with IE8 appearing but then FF and chrome were mentioned...

May seem a silly question but when you leave the forum do you guys actually LOG OUT? or simple close browser, surf to anotehr destination...

I also just purged ALL sessions and teh cahce - so I suspect everyone will need to re log in... lets see what this does.

I generally don't log out and just close the browser so I presume I should be able to just go back in automatically, but no that is not the case. I still have to log in again as I have had to do again now.

I don't logout too, but use the browser window for other forums/sites.
Have to login again even if I use the same browser window but visit the WAB Forum 1-2 later again. Strange, isn't it.

if you had logged out then yes you would need to log in again, but as you just browsed away and came back no you sholuld remain logged in - thats the benefit of cookies and teh auto login.

To be honest at this stage I have no idea why you few guys are experiencing this especialy at home and work! as for me and most people it appears there is no issue...

To make it even more mysterious my password now has decided to hold and I do not have to log in anymore. Whether the Stars Are Right or Andy has worked his juju I don´t know, but it works again for me!

I still have to log in every time I visit this site, even if I have left the site and moved to another for a few minutes. Seems that the cookies are not being left behind? Actually that is a guess so no idea why?

Well thats good news especially as no juju was worked this end!

I suspect it is each users PC settings - as teh site works for the vast majority its just a lucky few it does not...
