In my opinion BF hasn't committed near as many "crimes" as GW has.
-They still have the same rules and not coming out with a new set before you've even master the previous edition
-They don't keep updating the same supplement every 2 years or so making the last one you had obsolete
-They do publish quite few free downloads on army lists
-The standard army is 1750pts. for Late War(the most popular period) and you can get a complete army for 100 euro's and less.Try this with a GW 2000pts. standard army.
Cheers

I turned off FoW with the release of LW, the power creep and the neverending books [remind you of something]

Looks like GW doesn't know their arse from their elbow!

Is this an actual GW release, or a Warhammer Historical release? I'm confused.

When "Afrika" was published, providing lists and data consistent with the second edition rules, "Old Ironsides" and "Stars and Stripes" (the two mid-war US supplements published for the first edition rules; "Stars and Stripes" included all the lists previously published in "Old Ironsides", and added more) were still fully usable. Battlefront provided PDF updates on the Flames of War Web site to bring them in line with the second edition rules. Although a new, slightly revised "North Africa" has recently been published, it does not supersede "Afrika"; the earlier lists are all still valid. You can play with any list from the original supplements, or from either compilation volume, or from any of the mod-war PDFs published on the Web site.
The updates to the first edition supplements are *still* available online:

In the same way, when "Fortress Europe" was published, it did not invalidate the late war US lists previously published in "Festung Europa". You can still use any of the late war lists from either volume, from any of the late war campaign supplements, or from any of the PDFs for specific units published on line. Not a single one is prohibited for "official" play.
Any nerfing was completely self-inflicted.
