Rebuilt Ship Rosters

I got my copy of Trafalgar on Wednesday last week and have had a couple of quick practice games - alas with cardboard proxies so far - and the one thing that's really struck me is how much space the roster sheets waste. They're pretty, but we tend to have limited space to play in so I prefer a more condensed sheet. A quick search around the forums and web failed to dredge up any alternatives.

Anyway, to cut to the chase I knocked up some smaller sheets for our second game and thought someone around here might find them useful; they're made to fit four ships to a page, with four of what seem to me to be the more common types (3rd, 5th and 6th Rates) and two of the others (1st, 2nd and both classes of 4th Rate). They only cover the rated ships for now, as I'm not sure how best to do the smaller ships yet.

They've only been used in one tiny practice game so far, so they may well have vast errors or typos - if you spot any I'd be grateful to hear about them!

Would it be possible for you to post the file as a Word document (or as whatever format you created it), so that we can easily cut-and-paste from the individual ship types to match our fleet rosters?

It's an ODS (OpenDocument Spreadsheet) - I'll put it up when I've tidied it up a bit, probably over the weekend.

It's good to see these are getting some use outside of my own club!

Ahem, a little later than promised (I may or may not have been distracted by Exalted) here's the Opendocument Spreadsheet I've been working from. It's not the prettiest or most userfriendly bit of work I'm afraid. File is in a .zip since phpBB refuses to accept .ods files for some reason.

I've fixed the layout so they all use the same cell width and so forth; previously copying frigates into a line-of-battle list caused the layout to break. There's an empty worksheet labelled 'CustomRoster' at the end - copy-paste stuff to there. Leave an extra row of space every four large ships or the page doesn't break properly; similar caveats apply for the unrated ships, though you're best off working out the best spacings for yourself.

I hope these are helpful - let me know any errors or typos you find.
