oops.....1/4800 scale

Postby mattban » Wed Apr 29, 2009 7:03 pm

In my eagerness to get ahold of a couple of fleets, I paypalled the 1/4800 napoleonic fleet deal from Tumbling Dice, 1) can this be used in the new rule set? any idea what they look like? (I realize they are very small)

The Ships of the Line should be about 1/2 inch long at that scale. If you don't like them, you could use them as Ship-Sloops and Corvettes in 1/2400 scale.

any idea if I can use the rules? It appears that some are OK with halfing distances with the 1/3000

I'm sure you can use the rules so long as you play fleets in the same scale. I have heard of people who use the "standard" ranges even with their 1/2400 ships, you could probably do similar, maybe half them, whatever pleases you. :)

I thought that the Tumbling Dice Napoleonic Fleet packs were 1/2400.

Check out Scrivs posts regarding the ships and his games using them. I use the Tumbling Dice 1/2400 and don't change any of the ranges - just keep them as they are.

Cheers
