Age of Arthur Campaign Day - 1st April

Postby scrivs » Thu Jan 19, 2012 2:34 pm

I am running another Age of Arthur day on Sunday, 1st April 2012 at Maelstrom Games.

The format will be very much like the previous one where players pick a 1500pt list plus a 250pt bonus force from Age of Arthur and compete for the dominance of Brittania. We plan to play four games on the day. (Irish players please be aware that your chariots will be penalised in some way).

The cost will be £12.00 including a buffet lunch.

I'm initially limited to 20 places.

If you are interested, PM me and I will send you the PayPal details for payment.

That's just the 28mm stuff, I'm not even going to start on the other scales.

Thanks for organising this Scrivs. When is the deadline for entries? There are a few of us from Peterborough interested in doing this. I don't use Paypal - would you accept a cheque?

There is a month to go and I've got a dozen players signed up and paid. There are still a few folks who have expressed an interest but who have not paid yet.

If you would like to come, it's £12.00 including lunch. You'll need a 1500pt list from Age of Arthur plus a 250pt bonus force that you may get to use in some of your games.

If you want to come, please email me; smith.paul18@sky.com or make a PayPal payment to the same address.

Thanks, Scrivs, for organising a great day. And thanks to everyone else - I had three fantastically fun games in really good company, and learnt a huge amount. I'll be back for El Cid (with some new dice...).

Just spoke to WH on the phone - the El Cid book is at the 'call us to order' levels of stock. It's now at the 'call us to order' level minus the copy I just bought, and I foolishly didn't ask how many that was :D

I'm sure that purchase was Andy Hawes' fault :D

Looked like a lot of fun, I'm glad I made it over at all (taking my 2 year old daughter old to give my wife and the new baby son sleeping time), though I'm envious I wasn't playing. Particularly liked the Dalriadan/Strathclyde army in use - a great Celtic look!

I got home and gave serious thought to getting my Irish out again. Hope I can make the El Cid event in the autumn.

PS thanks Tom for the great ginger cake! :D

I too had a thouroughly splendid time.
Thanks Scrivs for organising everything. I'll do my best to make sure the El Cid one is half as good.
