Shooting at flanks.

In order to shoot at the flank of an elephant or phalanx must the shooters be :-

behind a 45 degree line from the front corner of the target. Or
behind a line parallel with the front of the target?

This used to be the former, but since charge-arcs were changed some people assume the latter.

The new front/flank arcs in 2.0 do not apply only to charges but also to shooting. So the second version applies.

This recently came up in a game for us. Is it in the rulebook and I missed it?
