Postby Leondegrande » Tue Dec 29, 2009 1:10 pm

Hi there.

Here's a bunch of lists for central europe to fill the gap :)
Included are Wends, Poland, Bohemia, Papal States, Lombardy, Hungary, 1st Crusader, Holy Roman Empire, Denmark, Burgundy and France.

For the milites type of cavalry I choose to make them Superior Cavalry and Fearsome instead of Fericious Charge and rank up to +1.
Mixture of Shieldwall/El Cid and Byzantium influences :)

Hope you enjoy them.

Well done, I like the format & could see these being very playable. Any intention of adding a Muslim force to counter the First Crusade list?

The army lists have a consistent pattern of big character (King), medium character (Count) and small character (Noble). For the Polish and Lombardy lists, the large character is S4 T4, the medium character is S3 T4, but the small character is S4 T4 again. Does this "dip" in stat line represent something significant? Or is it present to add variation in the army creation process?

Isn't the medium character often the BSB? Probably I take it from other already existing lists. It's about variation me think and what you get for your points. I tend to make them weaker then tougher, too :) Dislike that fighting monster. And it's always a struggle why a king, duke or emperor should have 4 attacks?! In case of aggresive, conquering, fighting leaders better stats should be ok, often there is an option to have two possibilities for a big general.

On the other side (more theoretically) the higher stats reflecting the "impact" of a general not his fighting abilities itself, hope you get my point. Ruleswise it has to be done this way, but it means if he is part of the unit the unit will have a bigger "impact" or quality. As always, it's the feeling of the list/army which counts :) (very subjective, I know).

Cheers
