Who made these? New ECW range?

Postby Guy » Thu Apr 01, 2010 10:50 am

Hi everyone,

I just wanted some help identifying some pictures of ECW models. Who made these?

Every year the same old joke....

Looks like Warlord with a whole load of other plastic bits from other companies... perry and WF by the look of things.

They are all conversions by the looks of things, the first three are all Warlord plastics with various arms, possibly citadel or seeing as some of the other models use perry and wargames factory parts, it might be them. 4th one is probably warlord as well but uses arms from the new perry war of the roses kit. The last two are from the Wargames Factory numidians set plus a perry set of arms on the 5th and a warlord gun on the 6th.
So essentially a load of kitbashing.

Oh yeah and it's after twelve o'clock............................... :D

three out of ten Guy. The real joke is I just know you will field these figures as part of a Samurai or Viking army one day.

Oh and I am sure you know clubmen were called such, because they joined clubs, not because they weilded them!

Have a good one.

Pah! No biters this year... at least noone who'll admit it and post on group!

The answer was (of course) I made 'em. Not a joke, more of a puzzle to be solved.

Oh yeah and it's after twelve o'clock............................... :D

When you read it maybe. My post was at just before 10. I would have posted last night at midnight but our American Friends would have been in 31st March still.

Indeed they are all plastic using the Wargames Factory arms on Warlord bodies. The Armoured Scot is a Warlord body with Perry Halberd. The bowman is a WF body with Perry Bow and the Irish is the same with a Warlord musket.

I love the new plastics, the conversion possibilities are truly endless and do expand your range of miniatures (this time for ECW). I also have some clubmen with Perry ACW heads and others fitted with Perry WOTR spears.

Guy

PS: Francis, you can count on it! Samurai Vikings coming your way soon!
