Wars of the Roses lists,h eres what I think.
Welsh for both sides,Scots for Lancs long spear (even though they were using long spears, 12/14 foot,I don't think it it was used in the trained pike fashion of the Swiss so couldn't be call technically a Pike.) Don't allow Welsh and Scots to be used in same army or if so with a penalty? Hand gunners Yorkist only.Lancs allowed more than one Crossbow to represent French Mercenaries, Lancs allowed other types of French mercenaries. Less Artillery early war more for late war? more Pike late war.York able to take Scots late war? Hobilars Both sides,Border Horse Lancs only. As I say only my opinions and all with a very big question mark after each statement.

Welsh for both sides, [AGREED]

Scots for Lancs long spear (even though they were using long spears, 12/14 foot,I don't think it it was used in the trained pike fashion of the Swiss so couldn't be call technically a Pike.) [AGREED]

Don't allow Welsh and Scots to be used in same army or if so with a penalty? [I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT]

Hand gunners Yorkist only [POURQUOI?] .Lancs allowed more than one Crossbow to represent French Mercenaries, Lancs allowed other types of French mercenaries.

Less Artillery early war more for late war? [GOD YES!!]

more Pike late war.[ONLY LATE WAR ie BOSWORTH/STOKE!!]

York able to take Scots late war? [D/K]

Hobilars Both sides,Border Horse Lancs only. [MAKES SENSE]

As I say only my opinions and all with a very big question mark after each statement. [LIKE THAT WILL STOP US :D ]

York able to take Scots late war? [D/K]

I'm not sure what D/K means,I know bit of a long shot so maybe a bit too late. 1496 they fought against Henry Tudor so not technically WotR yeh forget that one.

Hand gunners Yorkist only [POURQUOI?]
Burgundians favored the Handgun and they got along quiet nicely with the Yorkist so for a bit if flavour and to stop both armies looking like each other on the table, which I know they did.. but in gaming terms..HMM?

Don't allow Welsh and Scots to be used in same army or if so with a penalty? [I DON'T KNOW ABOUT THAT]

Yeh a bit of a WGR/ DBM idea, but cant beat a bit of infighting for that real WotR feel :D

more Pike late war.[ONLY LATE WAR ie BOSWORTH/STOKE!!]

I would agree .

I think an Early and Late war list would be a nice idea but you know what would happen, "Im taking a Late war list" 3 cannon and 3 units of pike etc etc. So one list to play the period is probably a better idea just getting the balance right. Rather them than me , good luck to them but they look like they are going in the right direction.

the reason i do'nt think border horse should be limited to one side especially in the north is inter clan rivalry if one family decided to side with lancaster you could almost be certain that another would side with the yorkists even within the same sept you would get splits ,in a civil war its the one way of keeping the holdings in the family.
As for the Scots long spears definitly, but there doe'nt seem to be a lot of information on who led them and what parts of Scotland they were drawn from.

Sorry, D/K - as in i "Don't Know"

Early War/Late War - you're probably right.

I don't you'll need body bags as my Crusaders are only 28mm tall and they normally fit in a box file :?

I'm getting a little excited about this ruleset, and all I've seen really is this thread and the preview army lists.

Thanks, very much looking forward to reading it :D .

Might have a go at putting some HYW and Burgundian Wars lists together at some point too if you haven't got someone working on it?

That gives me my first task when I get the rules -convert the measurements to inches, apart from that the mechanisms seem sound.

Well it looks remarkably similar to WAB in many respects. I look forward to having a look at it on Saturday.

I have no clue why the measurement was changed to cm.
Maybe there is a good reason.

Cheers
